What this lets you do
One path from submitted response to final grade
Praktikal keeps session progress, detailed answers and the grading summary connected. Move between questions and participants without separating the evidence from the decision you are making.
Automatic point defaults can help with supported questions that have an answer key and point value. You remain responsible for checking those points, handling the answers that need manual review and choosing final grades.
1 Choose a session
See what needs grading and where you left off
Open the grading dashboard after a Praktikal session has collected responses. Needs grading, In progress and Completed keep the next session visible without mixing live teaching into the review workflow.
Each row brings the group, response count and grading progress together. Open one session to continue with its questions and participants.
- Start from the sessions you own
- Return to work already in progress
2 Review the responses
Move by question or participant, with the evidence beside the score
Use the question and participant controls to focus the review. The detailed view keeps each response, its points and its feedback together, with the configured answer available where the question supports it.
Supported question formats with a usable answer key and point value can receive automatic point defaults. Unsupported answers, missing keys and other cases stay available for manual review.
- Treat automatic points as a starting value
- Keep the response visible while you review it
3 Apply your judgement
Change a score, add feedback or mark identical responses together
Select an automatic point value to make it a manual decision, then adjust the score or return a supported response to automatic grading later. Add feedback beside the answer while its wording is still in view.
For supported choice-style questions, Group answers collects exact matching responses under one decision. Apply the same points or feedback once, then switch to Individual answers when a response needs different treatment.
- Override or re-run supported automatic grading
- Group exact responses without flattening individual exceptions
4 Finish in the summary
Turn points into a grade without giving up the final decision
Switch to Summary to compare each participant’s total points, percentage, grade and overall feedback. The same view keeps the class overview and the individual decision close together.
A grading matrix can suggest a grade from percentage bands. Select that suggestion or choose another final grade yourself, then add overall feedback for the participant.
- Use the matrix as a percentage-based suggestion
- Choose and save the final grade yourself
