What this lets you do
Set the window, then share the same material
Independent work uses Praktikal’s existing presentation flow. You choose the source material, set its availability, and share access without rebuilding the lesson in a separate workflow.
Students navigate the available slides and submit answers question by question. Afterwards, the session summary gives you response coverage and a route into detailed results.
1 Set the window
Create a presentation from material you already use
Open an existing lesson or worksheet and select Create presentation. In the Questions settings, Schedule slideshow lets you set a start and end for this piece of independent work.
Time to answer is an alternative when you want a fixed duration instead of an availability window. Setting one timing method clears the other.
- Create a separate presentation for this delivery window.
- Choose a start and end that match the period when students should be able to submit.
3 Work independently
Let students navigate the available slides
With follow mode off, the presentation shows “Students navigate freely”. Students move through the slides you have made available and submit each question as they work.
Submitted answers reload when the same participant returns. For an anonymous participant, that return depends on the same browser and its stored session.
4 Review response coverage
See how much of the question set received responses
The session summary shows participants, the average response rate and how many participants answered at least 50%, 80% or all questions. These measures describe responses to the question set, not time on task.
When a running presentation reaches its scheduled end, new submissions stop. Students can still review open content, while detailed response review and grading continue in their own features.
