1 Search the Repository

Bring the right sources into view

Your Repository starts with material you own. Add Shared, Public, Licence or My organisation when you want to search material you can access from other sources.

Search by topic, then narrow the results by material type, language or region. You can also browse the Repository from an open lesson, where Praktikal limits results to material that fits the current position.

2 Inspect before reusing

Check who made it and what your access allows

Open a promising material before you reuse it. Its author, origin and access source help you understand where it came from and whether your grant includes copying.

Access and content rights answer different questions. Access tells you whether you may view, copy or share this material. Content rights record the terms that apply to using and distributing it.

3 Choose how to reuse it

Keep the live original, or make an editable copy

When you add another teacher’s material to a lesson, Praktikal asks how you want to reuse it. Use original keeps a live, read-only connection to the author’s source.

Make an editable copy creates a separate version that you can change independently. The copy keeps its source attribution and licence record, but it does not stay synchronised with later changes to the original.

4 Adapt and share deliberately

Change your copy, then choose what a colleague may do

Edit your copy without changing the source. Praktikal keeps the original author and licence with the copied material while you adjust the instruction, add a question or reshape the sequence.

When you share your own copy, choose the access level that matches the handover: View, View and copy, or View, copy, and share. A named sharing grant does not give the recipient permission to edit your original.
