Open Import Document from the lesson you want to extend

Import starts inside an open lesson. Switch to edit mode and choose Import Document from the lesson toolbar.

Praktikal adds the imported material to the lesson you opened as a new module.

2 Choose the import mode

Bring it in as slides or extract the content

As slides preserves each source page as one full-page Image node in the imported sequence. As text separates the source into editable Text and Image nodes arranged in reading sheets.

Choose slides when the existing visual sequence is worth keeping. Choose text when you want Praktikal to separate the material so you can rebuild its structure.

• Keep the visual order of an existing deck.
• Extract text and images when the source needs restructuring.

3 Keep building in Praktikal

Keep imported pages beside the content you create

In slide mode, each source page becomes a full-page Image node in a new module. It appears in the lesson overview alongside the worksheets, questions and activities you create in Praktikal.

Reorder those nodes to shape the presentation. The imported page stays together as an image, while native Praktikal content remains editable.

4 Add the interaction

Add the question or activity that serves the lesson

Import does not generate questions or activities automatically. Add them yourself where students should respond, practise, explain, or work with the imported material.

For example, place a native multiple-choice question after a reading sheet. The question is a separate Praktikal node that you create and edit.
