Connect ChatGPT, Claude or another AI tool to Praktikal

Keep using the AI service that already fits your workflow. Add Praktikal as a remote MCP connection, sign in securely and work with your lessons, worksheets and questions from that client.

What this lets you do

One connection between your AI service and Praktikal

MCP is an open way for AI clients to use tools provided by another service. Praktikal exposes its material search and authoring capabilities through one remote MCP address.

Connect once, then ask from the AI service you already use. The client works through your Praktikal account rather than creating a separate copy of your teaching materials.

1 Choose the client

Check that your AI service supports remote MCP connections

Praktikal uses the open Model Context Protocol, so you can connect ChatGPT, Claude or another AI client that accepts remote MCP servers.

The exact menu and availability depend on the service, your plan and any workspace rules. Look for custom apps, custom connectors or remote MCP in its settings.

  • ChatGPT calls these custom MCP apps
  • Claude calls them custom connectors

2 Add Praktikal

Paste one Praktikal address into the connector settings

Create a custom connection named Praktikal. When the client asks for the remote MCP server URL, use https://api.praktikal.app/mcp/connect.

You do not need to create an API key or copy your Praktikal password into the AI service. The server starts the secure sign-in flow for you.

  • Name: Praktikal
  • Server URL: https://api.praktikal.app/mcp/connect

3 Sign in securely

Authorise the connection with your Praktikal account

Your AI service opens the Praktikal sign-in flow. Sign in there and approve the connection instead of sharing credentials with the AI client.

The connection acts as your account. It can only reach material and authoring actions your Praktikal access allows.

  • OAuth keeps your Praktikal password out of the AI client
  • Your existing Praktikal permissions still apply

4 Try one request

Start with a small action you can verify in Praktikal

Ask the connected client to find one lesson you recognise, then try a bounded authoring task such as adding a short recap worksheet.

Open the result in Praktikal and check the target, content and structure. From there, the same connection can help you search, create and edit material within your access.

  • Begin with one lesson or worksheet
  • Review the created material in Praktikal

Connect the AI tool you already use

Add the Praktikal MCP address to a compatible AI service, authorise your account and begin with one small request.
