What this lets you do
Choose the chemistry and the shape of the answer
Start from a formula or equation you provide. Praktikal can help with a supported balance, hide selected positions and keep each response tied to that structure.
You decide what is given, what is missing and whether the result is ready to use.
1 Write or build the chemistry
Start with the correct formula or equation
Add a Chemistry exercise, write the question and enter the formula or equation learners will work with. Common notation can be assembled with chemistry controls, with source text available when that is clearer.
- Build common formulae without flattening them into an image
- Switch to source text for notation the builder does not cover
2 Check the equation
Insert a balanced ratio when the equation is supported
For a supported equation, Balance the equation calculates a whole-number ratio and inserts the coefficients. Inspect the result before deciding what learners should supply.
- Review the inserted coefficients as the subject expert
- Keep unsupported or ambiguous notation with the author
3 Choose the answer shape
Mark exactly what learners will fill in
Select coefficients, element symbols, subscripts, charges or a whole substance directly in the chemistry. Leave every position unmarked when the learner should write the complete formula.
- Leave the surrounding chemistry visible as context
- Use free entry when the complete formula is the answer
4 Answer and review
Keep the submitted chemistry structured in the result
Praktikal checks submitted coefficients against atom conservation and can return correct, partly correct or incorrect results. Bounded feedback can identify an unbalanced ratio or one in the wrong form.
- Score only the positions the learner supplied
- Review rendered chemistry in row, card or analytics results
